Activities at Windmill Manor Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Carer's Week

For our special Care Team at Windmill Manor we put on a week of celebrations and fun for all the hard work they do for our residents.

Chocolates and goodies, were awarded to all, a “fun sports day” with prizes and a “treasure hunt” to guess where it was buried and see what it was.

A big Thank You to all our Carers.

Our manager completes the London Marathon

Ellie Lyons General Manager at Windmill Manor in Hurst Green has taken part in the London Marathon to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Residents, their relatives and staff were all very supportive and were there in spirit to cheer on Ellie as she began the fundraising challenge.

Ellie said: “Taking part in this challenge has been a huge amount of fun and everyone at the home has been behind me all the way. It’s for such an important cause. I’m very glad to be able to do my bit to raise further awareness and money for the charity.”

Windmill Manor raised a grand total of £1181 by completing the challenge, which will be donated to the Macmillan Cancer Support.
