Activities at Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home

The activity team within our home spend a lot of time committing themselves to organising a range of activities for residents. This includes, pet therapy, trips out to local places of interest, visits from entertainers and musicians, bingo, one to one pamper time, weekly quizzes, coffee mornings, arts and crafts and baking. Activities are considered to be a crucial aspect of our home as residents look forward to upcoming events. As a result, it is essential that our team work together with dedication, to ensure residents are entertained and involved in as many activities as possible.

Life at Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home

,

York Marathon

When Yorkshire marathon took place we couldn't resist getting wrapped up in our winter coats and popping down to watch. The route started in York and made its way to Stamford Bridge, staff and residents headed down to the sidelines so they could cheer the runners on as they passed by.

Knitted Hearts

Residents knit hearts for York ICU

Margaret and Alice two talented knitters who live at our home have come to the aid of York Hospital who put out a post asking for knitters in the area to knit hearts to help families stay connected to their love ones in the intensive care unit.

Margaret and Alice sprang into action and helped meet the call by creating quite a few pairs of hearts – one will be placed in the patients hand and the other will go home with their families and friends to give them comfort and serve as a tangible connection from hospital to home.

Donation to Food Bank

Residents, loved ones, friends and staff members at our home celebrated the Harvest Festival by donating a food hamper to a local charity.

The occasion was also marked with singing of hymns followed by light refreshments which really helped everyone at the home get into the spirit of the festival. Food donations brought in by families and staff were gifted to the ‘I am reusable’ charity which will support them in feeding 120 people a day 7 days a week

Home receives 5* rating in Food Hygiene Inspection

Stamford Bridge Care Home passed a recent inspection by the Food Standards Agency with 5 Stars, the best possible rating. The Food Standards Agency visited the home unannounced on the 03/10/23, and the home, run by Barchester Healthcare, was rated 5 Stars with nothing to improve upon.  The report stated that “no concerns were found.” As well as the care homes recent inspection their second chef has recently qualified with a distinction which is great news.

Latte fun as home host Macmillan Coffee morning

Having a coffee morning is the perfect chance to catch up over a cuppa and a slice of something delicious for a great cause. The money raised helps everyone with cancer to live life as fully as they can.

World Alzheimers' Day
