Activities at Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home
The activity team within our home spend a lot of time committing themselves to organising a range of activities for residents. This includes, pet therapy, trips out to local places of interest, visits from entertainers and musicians, bingo, one to one pamper time, weekly quizzes, coffee mornings, arts and crafts and baking. Activities are considered to be a crucial aspect of our home as residents look forward to upcoming events. As a result, it is essential that our team work together with dedication, to ensure residents are entertained and involved in as many activities as possible.
Wendy Allan
Wendy joined the Family in 2005, and is one of our long standing employees in the home.
Wendy has worked across several departments including Housekeeping and as a Carer, but decided to join the Activities team in 2015. Wendy thrives off making others happy. She loves supporting the residents and Families and putting on fun filled activities them all to enjoy.
In her spare time, Wendy loves being outdoors and walking, and spending time with her Grandchildren

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home
Christmas Crafts
Our residens got into the Christmas spirit and got busy crafting, the table was filed with a variety of crafting items. Residents chose between making cards, colouring and making mini Christmas trees using pine cones.
It was wonderful to have residents together as they chatted the afternoon away, enjoying the company of each other.
Choirchester at Scarborough
We were back out on the bus to see our friends at Scarborough Hall Care Home - Barchester for a Choirchester session at their local Methodist church.
Homes from around the Yorkshire region joined together to sing Christmas carols followed by some tasty mince pies and refreshments.
On the way back we couldn’t resist a trip down to the seafront as the sun went down, the perfect way to end a lovely day.
Home hosts Christmas Fete
Staff, residents, relatives and the local community came together at Stamford Bridge care home to enjoy a wonderful Christmas Fete.
The care home had stalls including a tombola, raffle, cakes and cards. They managed to raise over £400 which will go towards future activities for their residents.
The team at Stamford Bridge care home would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who either manned a stall, donated a raffle prize or who came along to support the home. There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day.
Exercise afternoon
Our residents love the classes and events that OOMPH, an online platform that we use, provides. This time our residents fancied an exercise class to get them moving - each resident worked hard stretching their arms and legs. One resident said "it was nice to do some exercise from my chair". We were all ready for a rest and a cup of tea afterwards
Baking a Christmas cake
Recently our residents got busy lining tins, cracking eggs and mixing ingredients to create our Christmas cake. Residents shared with each other all the different ways that they made their Christmas cakes. After our residents had enjoyed making the cake mixture it was then baked by our catering team and will be decorated in December ready for residents to enjoy on Christmas day.
Care home receives visit from 'neigh'bour
Stamford Bridge care home was full of animal mischief when a pony came to visit the home.
Residents at our home were pleasantly surprised to see their new furry friend roaming around their home as the pony, which is owned by a relative of one of the residents, paid a visit.
