Hello. My name is Gill and I'm the General Manager here at Raleigh Manor. Welcome to our website.

I am extremely proud of the fantastic care we deliver for our resident's and their loved ones here at Raleigh Manor

We are a beautiful newly built home, nestled in the residential town of Exmouth with views out onto the estuary. Our passion is to create a home filled with care, warmth and importantly laughter.

I am a qualified nurse and am passionate about developing my team to be the best individuals they can , to ensure we are always delivering at the best level for our residents.

When I started as a carer ten years ago I quickly realised this was something that I loved doing. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity with Barchester to move from Carer to Senior Carer and now Deputy Manager at Raleigh Manor. Raleigh Manor's residents feel like family to me and their experience here is very important to me.

I have been with Barchester for 14 years now so when I made the move to Exmouth I knew exactly where I wanted to be.  Raleigh Manor is a very special home in a spectacular location so I feel very lucky to be continuing my caring career her with Barchester.

I am a Senior Carer with 11 years of caring under my belt already and still loving every minute. I have experience in night and day care along with specialist dementia training. It is a pleasure to be a part of this great team at Raleigh Manor.

Alison has over 13 years experience in care including working in the community and in specialist dementia communities. Her practical approach and knowledge have made her a perfect choice as Community Lead here at Raleigh Manor for our Ladram Lane community.

Born and raised in New Zealand I moved to Devon with my English partner to support the family. My career in the aged care industry started in New Zealand with Metlifecare, a very highly respected lifestyle and nursing care provider.

I have extensive experience in administration within the health sector. The opportunity to put that experience to great use here at Raleigh Manor is very rewarding for me.

I joined Barchester as a carer in 2019, and quickly realised I had a passion for helping people live their best lives. In June 2022 after a move to Exmouth, I joined the team Raleigh Manor as a carer and enjoyed helping with the activities. When the role of Activities Coordinator became available, I jumped at the chance to combine my care background with my desire to truly enrich the lives of the residents in my care.

I have worked as a Chef for many years in the restaurant world but decided I wanted to move in a different direction. Being Head Chef at Raleigh Manor is more like cooking for a very large family. Food is a very important part of life at Raleigh Manor and I love the personal touch this enables me to deliver.

I am a City and Guilds qualified carpenter and joiner and I have over 25 years' knowledge of working in care home property maintenance. The environment here at Raleigh Manor is very special. The outlook from this wonderful property is spectacular and provides a refreshing place to work.

I have worked for a number of years within the care sector and enjoy every minute of it.  I enjoy getting to know our residents and seeing them happy.  It is an honour to be able to welcome visitors into such a beautiful home and to help our new residents settle in.

Tracy has worked within the care sector for many years in recruitment and administration roles. We are now lucky enough to have Tracy assisting us part-time with reception and administration. 

Hayley Shorrock

Senior Carer

Hayley has been a professional in the care industry for over 15 years. She has specialised in areas involving learning disabilities and complex physical and mental disabilities. Hayley has a passion for demenia care and makeing every resident feel speical, safe and loved.

Keen Rugby Player and local to Exmouth, Emma is an experienced carer with many years of working within the care industry under her belt.

Katie has been a carer for 5 years now in both the community and in residential care. She has grown up in Exmouth and absolutely loves living here.

Katy joined us when she relocated from London to Exmouth. When she came with her children to one of our events, she decided we would be a great place to work. Having worked in both Activies and Care positions in the industry before she has a great range of knowledge in care and life enrichment for residents.

Molly came to Raleigh Manor from our sister nursing home in Exeter. Now with nearly 5 years working in for Barchester she enjoys her Senior Carer position here in Exmouth. 

Roseanna Hayward

Senior Carer

I was born in Exmouth and have been at Raleigh Manor since it opened in 2021. I have been a carer for over six years now, more recently moving into the role of Senior Carer. I love my work and seek to improve the lives of all those in my care. 

Frankie Sidwick

Activities Co-ordinator

Frankie has been in care since 2011. Her career began in a nursing home, then she moved to young adults with learning difficulties, and finally went on to a home that specialised in mental health. Frankie now brings this wealth of knowledge into her activities role here at Raleigh Manor.

Rachel Newton

Activities Co-ordinator

Rachel has an extensive background in care and joined Raleigh Manor as a carer. More recently she took up the challenge of moving into the Activities team and is absolutely loving it.
