Fire Brigade Visit

Our residents, relatives, and guests were delighted to welcome the local fire brigade into our home.

We had a wonderful time speaking to the brilliant members of the local emergency services and our residents were thrilled to have the opportunity to try on the fire brigade hats and see the fire hose in action.

The biggest treat of the day was having a close up the look at the stunning Fire Engine.

Thanking the NHS

November 23rd marks 'National Support Workers' Day by the Royal College of Nursing.

Nursing support workers are the bedrock of our wards, clinics and community teams. The term ’nursing support worker’ encompasses hundreds of different job titles and roles, including health care support workers, assistant practitioners, nursing associates and health care assistants.

They work independently, alongside registered nurses and as part of wider multidisciplinary teams in all health and social care settings.

On this special day it was a privilege for our homes community team to visit Louise and her wonderful team on the Harrowby Ward at Grantham General with some goodies and to be able to thank them in person for their tireless dedication and hard work.

Wellbeing Lincs Coffee Morning

Staff and residents at the Newton House Care Home in Grantham were delighted to welcome Kathy Lote from ‘Wellbeing Lincs’ into our home as she spoke at about the wonderful work taking place at ‘Wellbeing Lincs’ to our neighbours and friends from the local community.

Country and Western Day

The Newton House Care Home in Grantham saw our colleagues and residents hold a country and western day in style by hosting a day of cowboy themed fun with a ranch inspired party, musical entertainment and fancy dress.

The day saw our residents and family members come together and enjoy a Wild West themed quiz! This prompted much discussion over everyones favourite western classics.

The afternoon saw our day of cowboy fun reach a climax as we welcomed back home favourite singer Steve Carmel as he gave a rootin’tootin’ music performance which had his audience of residents and family members singing along and dancing to a collection of country and western classics.
