Activities at Hunters Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Hello I am Ben and I am the Activities Coordinator at Hunters. I started working at Hunters as part of the hospitality team, but when a vacancy came up on the activities team I jumped at the opportunity. I have seen how important a varied activities programme is and the team ensure we offer something for everyone including regular past times.

5 Star Food Hygiene Rating
Congratulations to the Hunter's hospitality team for a 5 star food hygiene rating on their latest inspection. Led by Head Chef, Leo Vilaca this team produce tasty, varied, personalised and nutritious meals for residents every day, as well as stunning cakes and special menus for events.
Happy 107th Birthday Hilda
Residents and staff were delighted to share the celebration of another milestone birthday. Hilda is remarkable looking nowhere near 107 and still playing a very active role in life in the home. Hilda has been a resident at Hunters for the past 10 years, born in South Cerney in 1915, she is an inspiration to us all.
Head Chef, Leo made a special cake and residents gathered to toast the amazing Hilda.
Santa, Rudolf and Elves Deliver Gifts
Santa, Rudolf and the elves personally delivered gifts to every resident on Christmas Day. After a delicious traditional Christmas lunch residents settled down for a relaxing afternoon watching Christmas TV.
Christmas Eve Quiz
Ali put on a great Christmas Eve quiz which was so enjoyed by all, this was accompanied by fizz and festive nibbles.
Mince Pie Master Class
Hunters' residents enjoyed a festive afternoon making mince pies. Head Chef, Leo went through each step with hints and tips for the perfect mince pie. Once baked these were very much enjoyed with a mulled wine.
Christmas Jumper Day!
Hunters' residents and staff looked great today in a variety of Christmas jumpers. The fun day continued with a performance by Shane Driscoll, there was lots of singing along and toe tapping.
