Activities at Hagley Place Care Home

Activities plays a big part in the care we deliver to residents; activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.

Mandy Hayward

Activities Coordinator

I have a long background in the care industry and love to incorporate the outdoors in my activities. This role is very special as it allows me the time to get to know our residents and their families in a deeply personal way.

Flowers Surprise for our Gentlemen

Thank you very much to Nigel, Manager of Sainsbury's, he has kindly donated more beautiful flowers for us at Hagley place, thank you so very much.  This time though we thought the men might like the treat. Peter and Keith were over the moon, they said it brightened up their rooms & their day.

Two Birthday Celebrations in 1 Week

We had a week of celebrations, Anne's Birthday and our Resident Ambassador Toni who celebrated her Birthday too, which meant more Baileys and cakes at the ready for everyone.  Sharing cake and seeing the wonderful gifts was enjoyed by us all.

Enjoying a Birthday Lunch out with Family

Our adorable Anne celebrated her Birthday, she went out to lunch with family & returned smiling and very happy.  We then carried on the Birthday treats at Hagley with a beautiful cake made by our talented dining team.

Book Club Gives a Thumbs Down for Sci Fi

Our 'book clubbers' gave a resounding thumbs down for our Sci Fi book this week, everyone refused to read it.  Apologies to the author!! Skyfi ( written as they said it) is just not their thing!! We are here for a good time so only read books that inspire you.

Valentine's Day Treats

We celebrated with romantic music, Prosecco cocktails & amazing food prepared for by our in-house Chef, a culinary delight & a very lovely time had by all. We also looked at famous couples throughout history & read about their love stories, some were tales of woe & even beheading! Others were  romantic & enchanting.
