Activities at Chestnut Gardens Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Life at Chestnut Gardens Care Home

Talia plays her Accordion

Residents we wowed by the talents of Talia. She sang, played the accordion beautifully and had everyone up on their feet dancing. A lovely way to spend an afternoon.

Autumnal fun

As the nights draw in and the temperature drops. Residents at Chestnut Gardens love nothing more than, making and baking. So everyone got creative and made floral displays and delicious cupcakes for everyone to enjoy with a nice cup of tea.

Country Pub Lunches

With an abundance of lovely country pubs nestled in the Surrey Hills. Residents are spoilt for choice of places to visit. The Wattenden Arms was a firm favourite. Delicious food and roaring fires. The staff made us so welcome we will be back soon.

Birthday Celebrations

We always encourage family get together's and parties here at Chestnut Gardens. Birthday's are always a great excuse to get the family together and make a fuss. Penny recently turned 80 years young. Surrounded by friends and family she had a wonderful day.

Garden Centre Visits

The Chestnut Mini Bus has been out and about again. This time we visited our local Garden Centre. Perusing the plants and their lovely handmade decorations. Of course there is always time to stop for some lunch and buy a few bits along the way.

KIND Cafe' Comes to Chestnut

We recently welcomed Caroline Bartle a local Dementia specialist to the home. She was so positive an impressed with not just our facilities but our care too. So we will be working together to set up a Cafe her at Chestnut Gardens. We will be opening our doors to the local community. A chance to reminiscence over home made cake and a freshly brewed coffee. Head over to our Facebook page to find out more.
