Activities at Brook House Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Life at Brook House Care Home

Musical Therapy

Much to residents' delight, Brook House hosted a music therapy session. They tried ringing bells, playing tambourines and using castanets.

Celebrating Easter

We enjoyed great music and games in recognition of Easter here at Brook House.

Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day, a day for our loved ones, was enjoyed by our residents with love melodies from the '50s and '60s, party games and a delicious spread laid out by our Head Chef. We decorated the home with hearts and ribbons of different sizes.

Chinese New Year

We celebrated Chinese New Year with much fun and frivolity and hope that the year of the ox is very much our year. We delighted the residents with games and threw in a birthday party too.

Indian Independence Day

India celebrates their independence Day on 26th January,  and we we joined them with a splash of Indian colour music and Indian snacks. We sang the Indian national anthem and waved the colourful flags.

The Vaccine Arrives at Brook House

Our home was fortunate enough to receive the COVID-19 vaccinations earlier this month, and have had all our residents vaccinated, much to our relief. Our staff are currently being vaccinated too.
