Activities at Braeburn Lodge Care Home
Our dedicated activities team are constantly dreaming up new and wonderful ways to support and stimulate the residents we look after. From trips to crafts, parties to skittles, musical performances and quizzes, we include something for everyone and pride ourselves on including everyone into the fun. We have a brilliant team of volunteers who help us to deliver more trips, support us at events and pop in for a cup of tea and chat. We have pet therapy at least once per week (sometimes twice!) and we take advantage of every school break by holding large scale events that we can invite families with children to. We have been developing ties with our neighbours since we first opened and thanks to this, we have successfully brought together our residents with local churches, choirs, Brownies groups, and schools. Whatever your interests are, here at Braeburn, there's something for everyone.
Dee Tugluer
My name is Dee Tugluer and I am the Activities Coordinator for Braeburn Lodge. I have been working in the care sector for almost a year and half. Prior to my job in the home I worked in the design sector and marketing for over twenty years. I also took a short break from my career to take care of my children and did so some volunteer work for my local community, schools and charities.
I really enjoy working for Braeburn as I have built a good relationship with all our residents. I love to make everyone feel happy and content, and get excited to plan and implement a beneficial Life Enrichment programme for our home.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Christmas shopping
Our residents enjoyed a Christmas shopping trip to Van Hage garden centre followed by a slice of homemade cake and a coffee.
Fun and games!
It's been all fun and games this morning at Braeburn Lodge....picture bingo, general knowledge quiz and dominoes! What's your favourite game.
A trip to the pub
Residents took advantage of the early autumn sun to enjoy a trip to the homes local pub for a spot of lunch. What better way to spend an afternoon, enjoying tasty fish and chips! Everyone is looking forward to their next trip out.
Landmark celebrations!
We have all had such a wonderful day celebrating Gladys 100th Birthday. A visit from friends, family and the deputy mayor all made it even more special. Happy Birthday Gladys from all the staff and residents of Braeburn Lodge.
Trip to Peterborough Museum
We have recently visited the Peterborough Museum. Our residents had a lovely time getting to know the history of Peterborough in their very own museum.
Minibus Ride
Minibus rides are the best through the beautiful countryside. We finished off our trip with a coffee and homemade cake.
