Activities at Woodside House
Our activities team deliver a wide variety of mentally and physically stimulating activities and events for those we support, including coffee afternoons, which we hold every month for the local community, regular outings in our minibus, and visits from entertainers and musicians. Monthly resident meetings help us to ensure that those living here are getting the most out of our activities programme, and that our social events reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible. From growing our own vegetables to making giant paper-mâché animals, there is always something fun going on at Woodside House.
Sam Lake
My name is Sam and I lead our Activities Team at Woodside House.
I have been at Woodside House since 2004 and I love it here. I am responsible for ensuring that the residents are able to participate in sociable, fun and rewarding activities. My team and I are very passionate about our work and love putting smiles on the residents' faces.
We involve the residents in the planning of our activity calendars and encourage residents to continue with the hobbies that they have enjoyed throughout their lives. We will support every resident to try new things and we love learning from our residents every day.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Here at Woodside House we had a special visit from ........ Elvis.
Just look at our lady’s faces Elvis is a firm, favourite Lots of toe tapping and clapping.
Music is always the best therapy .
A walk in the fresh air and a trip to the shop
We had a wonderful day today, taking our residents out on a walk in the fresh air and popping in to our local shop. We all had a lovely time and our residents said how nice it was to get out and about and do normal things.
A visit from the Miniature Donkeys
What a wonderful visit we had here at Woodside House from the miniature donkeys. It was so lovely to have you back and to see what a difference animal therapy can make to the lives of our residents. We can't wait to welcome you back again soon.
Pamper Session
The ladies at Woodside house have had a lovely relaxing time today. They were treated to a little pamper session with hand massages, a manicure, and a little natter - all washed down with a lovely cup of tea!
A trip to the library
Here Woodside, our residents love a good book and a ride in the minibus, so, we thought we'd combine the two. We took our ladies on a mini bus outing to the city of Norwich library. The ladies had a lovely day and enjoyed picking their own books.
Our favourite entertainer returns!
Here at Woodside House, we always look forward to a visit from Elvis! Residents love singing along and all the interaction. Even resident's families come along to watch!
