Wimborne is a picturesque single story house set in charming gardens close to all the local amenities of Hayling Island. It is a friendly purpose-built home providing care and support to frail older people and to people living with dementia.
Wimborne provides a programme of activities including outings and visits to local churches, pubs and community centres. There are also regularly scheduled groups activities and personally tailored one-to-one care planning, with life-skills work designed to promote independence and choice.
The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator for the care sector. During their most recent visit to Wimborne they noted (CQC's copyright, recording a visit in October 2013) that: there was ‘a high level of engagement between members of staff and living in the home’, that people living at Wimborne told them that staff are ‘patient and kind’ and that ‘attentive’ members of staff ‘supported residents in a timely and discreet way.’ They described the morning of their visit as ‘full of laughter.’
We like to think that’s an accurate description!
We always welcome visitors so why not drop in and see for yourself?
