Activities at White Lodge Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators here at White Lodge enjoy the fulfillment of helping residents feel important and a part of something. Meaningful moments are created through laughter and comfort. A varied activities programme is offered for the betterment of residents' bodies and minds, including music for health, 'Oomph' sessions and chair Zumba, in addition to coffee and cake groups that all inevitably lead to giggles and old fashioned singalongs. Also, we organise parties, trips out, walks in the country, bus outings and wonderful entertainers to visit our home. A sneaky tipple is always welcomed with cheese and crackers and, at the end of the day, it is important to go home knowing our activities have made a difference.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at White Lodge Care Home
Darts Tournament
Our darts tournament helped promote the importance of competitive fun & giggles with friends (with a little cheating.) This event supported 'Dementia Awareness Week' and kept many residents laughing & moving.
60th Wedding Anniversary
Celebrations started with 'A' handcrafting a beautiful card for his wife, followed by a romantic 3-course meal with wine in our vintage room. The afternoon saw us enjoying more wine, sing alongs & eating a lovely cake decorated by out Head Chef.
World Chocolate Day
Residents were only too happy to sample a large variety of chocolates for World Chocolate Day, taste testing favourite brands & new flavours and all washed down with a hot cup of tea & plenty of company.
Weekly Craft Group
We recently launched our weekly craft group. It was a huge success with the residents, as they loved getting creative and making all sorts of unique and wonderful crafts. Here's to many more magical sessions!
White Lodge's Divisional Winner
Congratulations to Pradeep Rajput, who has been named as a Divisional Winner in the Chef of the Year category at this year's Barchester Care Awards.
Food Fun at White Lodge
The residents at White Lodge have recently been helping out with the food prep! We have some hidden chefs amongst the residents!
Upcoming events
Farm Day
Good Day Farm will be visiting the home with their farmyard animals on Monday 20th May. We will have sheep, goats, pigs and even alpacas! Everyone is welcome to join us
White Lodge Garden Party
Join us for our Garden Party on Sunday 26th May where we will have live performance by the Swindon Brass Band. Spaces are limited so please contact us to book tickets.
Fabulous 50's Fete
Shake, Rattle & Roll to Hethersett Hall for a 1950s celebration at our annual summer fete on Friday 26th July 2-4pm. Classic Cars, Buffet, Concert and Dress Up all happening!
Pudding Club
Join us for our brand new event 'Pudding Club' hosted by Jenny. Indulge in delicious delights together every 3rd Wednesday of the month.
