Activities at Kingsland House Care Home
Kingsland House have a variety of activities that our residents help us choose. Celebrating Life in our home is jovial and fun and from our weekly delivered activity sheet, our residents can chose exactly what they want to join in with.
Our activities range from exercise classes, gardening, arts and crafts, games to food-fun clubs. We also offer our in house church services, our own home cinema, our mobile pub - The Kingsland Tavern, visiting Pat Dogs, musical entertainers, minibus outings, theme days and birthday celebrations. For those residents being nursed in their rooms we have one to one activities sessions.
At Kingsland House we believe that activities are hugely important to stimulate and uplift, and getting to know our residents interests and lifestyle choices assist our activities team in creating events and activities to suit their expressed wishes and capabilities. We also encourage our residents' families and friends to join in with as much as they can to make Kingsland House a loving family atmosphere.

Celebrating the 4th of July in Style
What a fabulous fun fourth of July we had today! After pour entertainer sang American themed tunes for us and then we
visited ‘Dave & Donna’s Diner for a true American Dining Experience including Cheeseburgers, Hot Dogs with Chilli Beef & Keylime Pie.
A Visit to local school's 'pop up cafe'
We were thrilled to be invited to a local school too have breakfast at their weekly pop up cafe being run by their pupils.
It was lovely to connect with the pupils and spend quality time with them.
Father's Day BBQ
What a wonderful day we had together celebrating Father’s Day with a lovely BBQ laid on for us by our very hard working kitchen team. Love and laughter were in the air as we chatted, sang and enjoyed the sunshine and good company.
Carers Week
Our carers work incredibly hard 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so it is always nice to be able to acknowledge their hard work! During carers week they were treated to cake, nibbles, fizz and presents. Thank you for all you do!
National Sausage Roll Day
Here at Kingsland House, ‘Cookery Club’ is one of our favourite weekly activities. How could we resist baking sausage Rolls on ‘National Sausage Roll Day’. When they were cooked and cooled down the residents enjoyed taking them around to other residents rooms for a taste.
The start of gardening club season
We love this time of year as get out into our beautiful gardens and plant the flowers to enjoy throughout the Summer and this year we have planted our very own tomato plants as well.
