Activities at Four Hills Care Home

Our activity and lifestyle programme is arranged for all our residents to participate in and is updated regularly based on ideas from our residents group during our resident forum. Our Resident of the Day strategy ensures each person receives at least one day each month where the focus is all about them.

We have a monthly concert and to date this is appreciated and enjoyed by most residents. The Four Hills Taverns is open for business every Friday afternoon and is an area where residents and staff socialise, hold pub quizzes and partake in a little refreshment.

The team at Four Hills try hard to meet everyone's needs and encourage all residents and their families to join in the fun.

Life at Four Hills Care Home

Nursery children meet Santa

After weeks of our own Christmas parties it was the turn of the children from Benview Nursery school who visit the home regularly as part of our intergenerational links.  We enjoy our visits to the nursery too!

We welcomed the children back after the Christmas break and we had a wonderful morning playing traditional party games together, enjoying lots of sweet treats, before a visit from our very own Santa Claus (one of our residents Billy - who really looks forward to doing this every year for the kids) he said it’s fantastic to see the smiles on their faces and the excitement in their eyes.

Meeting the Reindeers

Across our homes we got into the Christmas spirit of things by joining a festive live virtual experience, led by Des and Kelly from Performing Pets.

Our residents were thrilled to meet the charming furry friends and get up close and personal with the reindeers.

We certainly learnt some interesting facts about the animals and had a fantastic time.

Karaoke Afternoon

Another fabulous day at Four Hills, we invited in the ladies from our over 50s community group that our residents have been going to on a weekly basis for an afternoon of karaoke and fun.

We all had a great day singing and dancing together, the ladies from the group were really impressed by the set up here at four hills and how engaged the staff are with the residents, lots of the ladies commented that if there time came that they had to choose a care home Four Hills would be the choice for them as they could see how homely a feel the place has.

Christmas Crafting

Residents at Four Hills are getting into Christmas spirit by doing some crafting. We are very busy making things to sell at our Christmas fete. We have been making calendars, cards, Christmas baubles.

We have been loving it as we get to practice our Christmas carols as we are busy working.

Bonfire Night

Residents at Four Hills celebrated bonfire night with a night out in the garden where our maintenance team put on a lovely fireworks display, we all enjoyed the beautiful colours and writing our names with our sparklers.

Afterward it was inside for a heat with some delicious hot chocolate and cakes while we reminisced about how the spent bonfire night with their children and how they would do penny for the guy which children don’t do nowadays.
