Activities at Ashlar House Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Ashlar House Care Home
Ascot Ladies Day
Ascot Ladies Day brought a touch of elegance to Ashlar House, as the ladies and some of the gents donned their finest head wear to get into the mood.
Pygmy Goats and Chicks
Bradwell Trout Farm visited our home, bringing with them a collection of Pygmy Goats and adorable chicks. Some of our residents were able to interact with the our guests in the communal areas, whist others preferred personal visits in their rooms.
To further our community efforts we were also accompanied by Bright Horizon nursery and their children, who came to spend time with residents and of course the cute goats and chicks. A fun and memorable day for all... even the goats.
Happy Birthday, Your Majesty
Residents and visitors at Ashlar House raised a glass to the Queen on her 92nd birthday, and celebrated the day with a royal-inspired party.
Guests enjoyed a relaxing tea with pianist, John Goodall, which was specially prepared for the occasion by our Head Chef.
Easter at Ashlar
Residents enjoyed some Easter hymns and an Easter story was told. We started off Good Friday with lots of events and activities planned. In the afternoon, staff and residents voted for their favourite Easter bonnet. Resident, Clara, can be seen showing off her prize-winning bonnet above.
Ashlar Open Day
In preparation for our open day, some residents have been helping us get our brochures and goodie bags ready for the event.
Ladies Coffee Morning
Ladies of Ashlar House visited Stonards Hill for a lovely coffee morning.
