Dave John

Dave has been Head Chef at Awel y Mor for over 10 years. He runs a well organised kitchen, ensuring a varied menu prepared to the highest standard. The kitchen has been awarded the Gold Award and is Hospitality Assured.

Fran Bannister

I qualified as a Chef at the age of eighteen. At Winchester House we strive to give our residents and staff a varied and nutritious diet. All of our food is freshly cooked in our kitchen. We try not to use dietary supplements as we consider freshly cooked food, supplemented with nutritious snacks, such as smoothies and mousses, is more effective for maintaining and increasing individuals’ weights. This is underpinned by the focus of meal times being a social and important part of each and every day.

Kevin Webster

Kevin is the Head Chef and Jo Hough is the Second Chef in the kitchens at Park View. They run a very busy kitchen every day feeding up to 150 people including staff and residents. Both have been working at Park View for 6 years in their present roles.

Phil Davies

I started working here at Edgbaston over 10 years ago as the weekend chef and immediately decided that this was the place I wanted to settle, and was promoted to Head Chef over 5 years ago. I am responsible for the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and restaurant, including training, ordering and menu planning, and finding out about residents' likes and dislikes. Often, after lunch, you will find me chatting to residents and visitors to get some feedback about the food and services we deliver.

Amanda Pryce

My name is Amanda and I have been the Administrator at The Rhallt for over 9 years. With the help of Jo my Admin Assistant we are responsible for all the administration and financial support within the home, looking after things such as accounts, resident billing and staff contracts. It is very rewarding to know that we provide the team with essential support to keep the home running smoothly. We are the friendly faces on the frontline providing information, offering an understanding sympathetic ear and support to anyone who visits our office.

David Ingle

David is the former Barchester Care Awards 'Maintenance Champion'. At Laurel Bank, David ensures that the home is consistently well-presented and maintained to an exemplary standard. This is also partly down to his excellent maintenance documentation and organisation.

Brian Griffiths

Hi, my name is Brian, and I am responsible for the general maintenance of the home and grounds here at Field House. I’ve been here for over a decade and can truly say that I love my job.

I have seen Field House grow into a truly unique place; we cherish the fact we are a home away from home in all aspects of our care, services and facilities.

No job is too small and the prospect of what we have and can achieve aesthetically, in and around the home, is an exciting prospect.

Ian Bellis

I have a building industry background; I worked as a bricklayer for 37 years before joining Bod Hyfryd in August 2008. The work here is interesting because every day there is something completely unexpected to do as well as the routine maintenance.

Arthur West

I joined the team at Atfield House in 2008 as Head of Maintenance. My role is to maintain the care home to high standards. I liaise with outside contractors and the home management team at all times. It is my responsibility to ensure a room is ready when a resident moves in and to assist them and their families with personalising their new quarters.
