Strictly speaking residential care is for frail older people whose needs are low – people who do not require nursing care or specialist care for people living with dementia, for example, but who might need help with washing, dressing and other daily living activities. Confusingly, however, many organisations will use ‘residential care' to describe homes offering most services such as nursing care or specialised care for younger adults.
The activity programmes provided by our care teams are tailored to meet peoples residential care needs and capabilities – and are thoroughly enjoyed! These include gardening, baking, outings, gentle exercise, pet care and life-skills work. Other specialist activities such as reminiscence therapy, music therapy and complimentary therapies are also a part of our activities programmes.
