Hello, I am Ceri, and I am very proud to be the General Manager of Hickathrift House. Welcome to our website!
I have been with Hickathrift House since 2009. I started as a Carer and was promoted to Senior Carer shortly after and, before long, I had worked my way up to Unit Manager. I was then appointed as the Deputy Manager in 2014, prior to becoming the Acting General Manager in April 2018. During my time here, I have worked hard to gain an NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Health & Social Care and I am currently working towards my Level 5 in Leadership & Management.
Isla is our Deputy General Manager who has a wealth of nursing experience in elderly care. She has excellent clinical skills and is always on hand to give sound advice to the nursing and care team. She takes the role of mentor and clinical lead seriously, carrying out supervision sessions ensuring the workforce keep up to date.
Isla is a big part of the home and has just celebrated 20 years service.
Hi, my name is Pramojil and I am the General Manager here at Reigate Beaumont.
I qualified as a nurse in 1999 and have worked in hospitals, nursing homes and in the community. Over the course of my career I have achieved many qualifications, including NVQ4, Registered Manager's Award and QCF Assessor Award and completed Post Graduate Certificate in Management and Leadership through the Barchester Business School.
I have previously practiced as a nurse in Bulgaria and Libya, where I took care of newborn babies in a hospital situated in the middle of the desert.
I moved to the UK in 2002 to work for Barchester Healthcare and have been supported to develop my knowledge and skills to help further my career. I have an NVQ Level 4 in Management & Leadership and have been working as the Deputy Manager at Winchester House since 2011.
Hayley has been the Catering Manager since 2002. She holds level 3 NVQ in Patisserie and Confectionary, Kitchen Supervisory as well as Advanced Food Hygiene. Hayley’s cakes are legendary here at Milford House and are much admired at meal times and at the various activities and events that we hold here.
Her main roles are menu planning and delivering wholesome and tantalising home cooked food for our residents and their guests. Hayley and her team are proud to have been awarded 5 out of 5 stars ‘excellent’ standard food hygiene by the Environmental Health Department.
Heather manages the delivery of care to residents in Memory Lane and has worked in the home for 10 years.
I qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in 2006 with 11 years previous experience as a Care Assistant. I began my career with Barchester Healthcare as a RMN, progressed to Unit Manager and am currently the Deputy Manager at Adlington Manor Care Home. My role is to support the General Manager in planning, directing and delivering a high standard of person-centred care along with the day to day running of the home. I live locally with my family and enjoy walking and a good bottle of red wine.
I qualified as an RGN in 1990 at Cleveland College of Nursing and Midwifery. I worked as a staff nurse at DarlingtonMemorialHospital as an Anaesthetic and Recovery nurse until 1994. I commenced employment at Hawthorns Care Centre on the Nursing Unit in August 1994 initially on night duty. I became Nursing Unit Manager in 2002. I have completed various clinical and academic courses including Diploma of Nursing, ENB Care of the dying patient and their family, Infection Control and Clinical services during my time as unit manager. The standard of care has been maintained and enhanced.
Karen has worked at Cubbington Mill for over 10 years. She is trained in NVQ Levels 2 & 3 in Care. This, alongside her many years of experience at Cubbington Mill, means she not only delivers exceptional care to residents, but that she also can assist in training any new carers so they can achieve the high care standards required when working for the home.
