Stroke Association to hold 10k fundraiser
23rd June 2009

The Stroke Association is to continue its Resolution series of events by hosting a ten kilometre run in August.

Taking part in London's Finsbury Park, the casual fundraising affair aims to expand on the five kilometre challenge earlier in the year, with the location "designed to get you out of the heat of the day and in to your stride".

With entry of £10 plus a £1.50 booking fee, entrants are asked to raise a minimum of £150 each, though a number of benefits will be covered with the fees including a free technical running vest, water stations, kilometre markers, baggage stations and medals.

It is hoped that thousands of pounds will be raised for those in palliative care or home care for their stroke-related ailments, as well as more to highlight the dangers of the sudden condition.

The jog will take place on August 13th, with the Resolution 5k having already taken place on April 19th.
