PDS wins another award for campaign
22nd October 2009

The Parkinson's Disease Society's (PDS) Brain Donor Appeal has claimed another victory after winning a PR Week Award 2009.

It claimed the gong for the best not-for-profit campaign in the Corporate and Public category of the ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.

Nicola Brian, director of communications at the Parkinson's Disease Society said the organisation is "absolutely delighted" to have won its second highly-prestigious award for the Brain Donor Appeal, adding the PR Week Award to its Third Sector Excellence Award.

She continued: "It's wonderful that the hard work the communications team and Trimedia put in to making this campaign such a success has been recognised. I'm already looking forward to what we can achieve in 2010."

Last month, the PDS scooped the Third Sector Excellence Award for Best Communications Campaign at an awards ceremony held in the same hotel, beating the World Wildlife Fund and Macmillan Cancer Support to the title.
