The Trek China challenge for 2010 is now open for entry with the Parkinson's Disease Society (PDS), according to the charity.
Describing it as one of the most exciting fundraising challenges of the year for the organisation, a team of trekkers will have chance to scale the Great Wall of China from September 18th to 26th.
Karen Swindells, a 49-year-old team member associated with Trek China 2009, said: "I have Parkinson's and to meet other people with the condition while visiting China was a truly life-changing experience.
"I'm so pleased to have helped make a difference to the lives of people living with Parkinson's."
Registration for the trip costs £299 and each trekker will need to raise a minimum of £2,800 in sponsorship, as this will - in part - cover all flights and accommodation.
According to the PDS, it is estimated that four million people around the world have Parkinson's disease, while 10,000 people are diagnosed each year in the UK.
