Musicians team up for Alzheimer's album
20th January 2010

A pair of musicians are aiming to raise awareness for Alzheimer's by harnessing their musical talents together, it has been revealed.

An album entitled Into My Distance is now available to download on iTunes and all proceeds will go to the Alzheimer's Research Trust.

Stuart Hamm, who is based in San Francisco, has recorded albums with some of the greatest musicians in his field, including Steve Vai and Joe Satriani.

He travelled from the US to record and film the album with London musician Andy Edwards in London, said that he does not often get the opportunity to do something so worthwhile and jumped at the chance to help out.

Chief executive of the Alzheimer's Research Trust Rebecca Wood added: "We can't thank Andy and Stuart enough for banding together to help us beat dementia.

"The money they raise will make a real difference in bringing a cure ever nearer and hope to people living with the daily reality of Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia."
