More Money in Your Pocket launched by charity
1st May 2009

Elderly people's rights are being fought for by two national charities, which are aiming to provide them with the money they are entitled to.

Age Concern and Help the Aged have launched the More Money in Your Pocket campaign to make sure that older people are able to claim benefits from the government, including money which could be used for home care.

He said that many people are not knowledgeable when it comes to which benefits are available, with others unaware of their eligibility and more individuals unable to fill in forms due to their complicated nature.

The two charities, which helped their clientele claim £100 million in benefits which they were previously unaware of, want to help their target audience find what they are entitled to and help them fill in the difficult paperwork - so long as they get in touch.

On April 1st, Help the Aged and Age Concern joined forces to coordinate their activities and make sure that elderly people around the UK are treated with respect and are rightfully supported.
