MND calendar released to highlight cause

MND calendar released to highlight cause
18th December 2009

A number of people with motor neurone disease (MND) have been brought together for a calendar to highlight the disease and raise money for the ALS Therapy Development Institute based in the US.

Sarah Ezekiel, the star of Sarah's Story, was one of the many people invited to participate in the Always Looking Sexy calendar by Carla Zilbersmith in America - a woman who also has MND - with the star stating her pride in being involved in the "unique project".

She continued: "The calendar will make you laugh and cry but shows that people with MND are the same as everybody else. Hopefully, it will also raise awareness of MND and we'll be a little closer to that cure."

Models are re-enacting memorable moments from films including Braveheart, Risky Business and Cabaret, with the medical equipment used by each model all featuring heavily in the piece.

Sarah Ezekiel was part of Sarah's Story, which recently scooped the top honours at the Mashable web awards.

Set in beautiful countryside locations, many of Barchester homes are ideal destinations for respite stays.
