Mayor of Waltham Abbey unveils new independent hospital

The Mayor of Waltham Abbey officiated the opening of Barchester's Jasmine Court Independent Hospital, at a VIP ceremony.

The Mayor, Councillor Ricki Gadsby, greeted staff and guests before cutting the ribbon, formally opening the independent hospital. The Mayor and guests were treated to a buffet lunch and were given tours of the hospital, run by national care provider Barchester Healthcare.

The 15-bed hospital provides quality care to the local area and offers 24-hour nursing provision to support people with long-term mental health needs.

Chris Hird, Hospital Manager at Jasmine Court, said: "We are delighted that the Mayor could be here to open this new facility. All the staff are committed to ensuring this new service is a success."

Jasmine Court Independent Hospital shares a site with Barchester’s Paternoster House care home, which is well established in the local community.
