Marriott House carers walking for charity

19th May 2006

Barchester Healthcare employees will be walking for charity this Saturday night, according to the Bognor Regis Observer.

Sarah Harding and Katie Sampson, who are both care assistants at the Marriott House nursing home in Chichester, will be walking the gruelling 26.2 miles of London's Moonwalk in aid of breast cancer research.

The two ladies are hoping to raise £3,000 for research in to breast cancer after their colleague, Ann Puttock, was diagnosed with the disease.

To add to the spectacle Sarah, 25, and Katie, 26, will be dressed in pink bras to make sure everyone knows they are walking for breast cancer.

"One of the members of staff at Marriott House has had a lot of treatment for breast cancer. We thought we would do the Playtex Moonwalk because of that," said Sarah.

Barchester Healthcare has kindly donated £2,000 towards the walk.
