Llys y Tywysog Grovesend residents bring the beach to Swansea
Staff and residents at Llys y Tywysog Grovesend care home brought their own little bit of beach to Swansea during the May hot spell.
Kitted out in sunglasses and with buckets and spades, residents at the Barchester nursing home gathered around a barbeque for their holiday-themed day of fun, reports the South Wales Evening Post.
Attendees included residents Kathleen Davies and Joan Williams.
Meanwhile, in April, residents at the Barchester Cherry Trees Care Home in Alcester celebrated St George's Day and Shakespeare's birthday with a special red theme.
Residents and staff wore red roses and ate red cheesecake, as well as decorating the care home with artwork depicting dragons and St George.
Commenting on the celebrations, activities coordinator Liz Southall told the Redditch Standard: "The residents really enjoyed themselves, they're all very patriotic and it was a great day for them."
