KPMG announces successful Alzheimer's fundraising campaign

A professional services company has announced that it has raised nearly half a million pounds for its chosen charity in the space of just one year.

KPMG revealed that the Alzheimer's Society, which supports people with dementia as well as their families, hopes to collect as much as £1 million for the organisation by the end of its second year, adding to events such as the Three Peaks Challenge and cycling between London and Paris.

Alison Halsey, a lead partner for the relationship at KPMG, said: "KPMG people have shown sheer determination and enormous enthusiasm in the first year of our partnership with Alzheimer's Society."

She added that there is "all to play for" in the coming year in terms of making more money for the good cause.

For the last three years, KPMG has been voted into the top three in the Sunday Times Best Big Companies to work for survey, with the organisation operating 22 offices in the UK.
