The Huntington's Disease Association's (HDA) Awareness Week will be taking place from Monday June 8th to Sunday June 14th with a number of events across the country.
There will be a Palliative Care Day in London today (June 9th), while tomorrow will see Carers Day taking place in the north of Wales.
Juvenile Huntington's Family Weekend will run between June 12th and 14th and Huntington's disease service director at Tewkesbury Hospital in the USA will be flying over to speak at the events.
Local branches and support groups of the association will also be running their own awareness raising events, such as coffee mornings and a cruise on a steam yacht in the Lake District.
Meanwhile, a unique Alliance for Huntington's Disease Awareness Week has been set up by the four Huntington's disease charities across the UK and Ireland.
The HDA looks to provide support for those affected by the disease and to give information for professionals who help out Huntington's disease families.
