Celebrity gardener Charlie Dimmock has presented two gardeners from a Barchester care home with a prize.
The Best Sensory Garden award has gone to Laurel Bank Care Home, reports The Lancaster and Morecambe Citizen.
Geoff Rice and David Ingle were rewarded for their great efforts in helping develop the attractive garden - which was judged against the impressive gardens of a large number of other Barchester care homes across the country.
Laurel Bank Care Home is situated in Lancaster and - as well as its attractive landscaped gardens - has great views of the impressive Lancaster Castle and the Cumbrian Hills.
The gardens boast sitting areas, pathways suitable for wheelchairs and raised beds so that residents can enjoy growing plants.
Laurel Bank is a nursing care home with specialist facilities for residents with physical disabilities and respite care.
The purpose-built care home is situated just five minutes from the town centre and in addition to the landscaped gardens it has numerous seating areas plus a large patio area for residents to enjoy.
