Residents at a Barchester care home in Surrey have created a patchwork blanket which they have knitted over the past two months.
Epsom Beaumont residents Meg Atkinson, Olive Dunbar, and Evelyn Fawkner joined the home's activities coordinator Val Kempshall, in forming the knitting circle.
The patchwork blanket featured bright squares in shades of red and blue, with white, green and yellow thrown in as well.
They decided to give the blanket to one of the non-mobile residents at the home.
"It is lovely to see that as well as keeping residents occupied their efforts benefit others," said Barbara Gable, Epsom Beaumont's manager.
The Epsom Beaumont Care Home is located in Epsom in a grade two listed building which dates back to 1670.
It holds 55 residents and includes nursing services for older people, services for younger people, holiday breaks and respite care, post-operative care and specialist care services.
