Barchester entered this cup final with a lack of match practice, (due to their season finishing some time ago!)And this showed. Despite taking an early lead, courtesy of Lyndy King, Barchester were unable to settle into their usual passing game. UEA quickly replied with2 goals. Barchester kept battling and Em Anderson’s pressure paid off when she was awarded a penalty which she coolly converted. The half time score was 2-2.
UEA edged in front again early in the second half, but Barchester responded positively when Gemma Hallam passed the ball in from the left and Lyndy King sweetly struck the ball in the net from outside the area. UEA managed to snatch the winner minutes from the end.
Ending the season as LEAGUE WINNERS, Barchester were happy with their first ever season together. Barchester United L.F.C would like to thank BARCHESTER HEALTHCARE and Mr Barry Sweetbaum for all their support and sponsorship throughout the 2005/2006 season, and look forward to their continued support for the next season. As Manager I would like to also thank all of my players and supporters, who have shown their loyalty and commitment to B.U.L.F.C
