The New Year start for Barchester was a very happy one. The team played with Great Spirit and managed to keep the pressure up on Bungay for the whole game. Credit must go to Bungay Ladies who did not give up until the final whistle blew. They managed to score a goal from a ball played through the defence.
However Barchester remained in charge of the game, goal scorers were: Em Anderson=5, Lyndy King=2, Gem Hamilton=1, Mary Cann=2, Gemma Hallam=2.
The defence of Kerry Sharpen, Tash Evans, Vicki Shucksmith and Lauren Bowles had a quite game but this enabled them to play a more attacking role. Thanks to Em Hutchinson for being in goal, and well done to Robyn Edwards for a solid performance in midfield. Some of the attacking play from Barchester was quote “Quality to watch”. Player of the match was Gemma Hamilton for a very positive role played in midfield. Not much more to say than well done to every girl, who came out of the Christmas break, ready to start the year on a high, with a 12-1 win!
