Barchester employees earn care qualifications

22nd January 2007

A number of Barchester Healthcare employees in Somerset recently passed their NVQ qualifications in care.

A dozen members of staff from the Bloomfield Care Centre in Paulton successfully completed the course; further evidence, if it was needed, of the high level of care that Barchester employees offer residents.

The members of staff received their awards from the company's director of training and hospitality, Terry Tucker, who was delighted with the successes, according to the Somerset Guardian.

"This is an amazing achievement in one home," she said.

"Bloomfield has always been excellent at providing a wide range of training and development opportunities for its staff. The enthusiasm at Bloomfield is wonderful."

The centre's general manager, Joyce Jones, added that the achievements of the staff "reflect their dedication to providing the best service possible for our residents".

She stressed that Barchester's ethos insists that quality is the main objective for its relatives, residents and staff.

Expect further awards to be gained by staff at other Barchester sites throughout the year.
