Celebrity gardener Charlie Dimmock presented the winners of the Barchester Healthcare garden competition with their awards in London this week.
The Barchester in Bloom awards ceremony, which was held at the Botanical Gardens in Kew, saw five Barchester care facilities take out awards in a field of 85.
The company said the competition has had a positive effect on all residents, relatives and staff who got their 'green thumbs' out to help with the entries.
Charlie Dimmock said: "I am pleased to have been given the chance to present the awards to the winners of the Barchester in Bloom competition. The standard of entries was incredibly high and I'm sure the judges had a difficult time choosing the winners.
"It is wonderful to see that the hard work that the staff, residents and their families put into the gardens has really paid off and hopefully they enjoyed doing it too."
Other winners included, South Chowdene Care Home in Tyne & Wear for best sensory garden, Corrina Lodge Care Home for the best resident's garden and Treshfield Court Care Centre in Skipton for the best hanging basket/container display.
