Barchester acquires new care home

17th November 2005

A businessman from Yorkshire has sold his private nursing home in Stamford Bridge to Barchester healthcare for a large undisclosed amount.

Manor House Nursing Home, formerly owned by Tony Gray, has 107 beds including 30 apartments for the elderly and employs 200 staff.

The facility also offers a homecare service for around 100 people in the north and east Yorkshire areas.

Barchester Healthcare, managing director Mike Parsons, told the Yorkshire Post: "Purchasing Manor House fits in with our overall strategy to provide high-quality care throughout the UK."
