Most Creative Garden
Jasmine Court Independent Hospital
Staff and patients at Jasmine Court Independent Hospital in Waltham Abbey are celebrating after the home was named 'Most Creative Garden' at the Barchester Care Awards 2018.
Anna Shirley, Director of Marketing at Barchester and judge for the category said “the creative use of space at Jasmine Court is unlike any other Barchester garden. A passion project close to Hospital Director Jodie’s heart, the garden has been a labour of love. The thoughtful design has brought the garden to life with its use of vibrantly colourful recycled tires, filled with various plants and vegetation including tomatoes and herbs. The differently-themed flower beds and use of green space is not only visually interesting, but a safe and happy space for the patients living there and guests and visitors who stop in. Lovely to sit in for a chat, or enjoy outside activities including giant Jenga and games, the remarkable garden at Jasmine Court leaves a positive impression on each and every person who visits, including our judging panel.”
Hospital Director Jodie Ramcharitar and his team were all thrilled with the win. Jodie said: “Patients at Jasmine Court love spending time in our garden, and it really is a labour of love. We love our garden and we’re looking forward to incorporating new projects and ideas into the green space with patients and the local community so we can take home the trophy again next year.”
