New Barchester Care Home Breaks Ground in Denmead

National care provider, Barchester Healthcare recently marked the start of their newest care home build in Denmead, which is under construction by McGoff Construction Ltd.

Andy Williams, Senior Property Development Manager at Barchester was joined by Tim Logan from Barchester, Mike Coggin Project Manager/ QS from Fed 3 at the Barchester development, where they met McGoffs Contracts Manager Craig Clancy, Jason Brown and Neil Kingston from McGoffs to take a tour of the work in progress. The architects of the build, Harris Irwin, also joined the group on the day.

After the tour, Andy said: "My colleagues and I were very impressed with work we saw at the latest Barchester site. The new care home will be an important facility for the district and a very welcome source of employment."

The 60-bed care home in Denmead will also provide high quality care services, as well as dedicated dementia care in Barchester’s unique Memory Lane Communities.

Andy continued: “We are very excited about the construction of our new care home in and I feel lucky that our prospective residents will have a home set in such beautiful grounds.There is a real need for quality care in the local area and our new home will definitely meet this, and potentially give a boost to employment in neighbouring communities.”

Barchester Healthcare’s Denmead care home will open in January 2020 and will deliver personalised residential care as well as personalised dementia care in Barchester’s unique Memory Lane Community.
