Rhiwlas Care Home in Flintshire

Rhiwlas Care Home in Flint is a purpose-built home that provides high quality residential and 24-hour nursing care in a warm and welcoming environment. Alongside this, we offer respite care and short breaks, which can now be booked up to a year in advance. Our loyal and dedicated team take pride in delivering the highest standard of care and support to each resident.

The high standards of care we offer are reflected throughout the home. For example, our Head Chef creates wonderful menus for residents to enjoy each day, and our team of activities coordinators organise a lively programme of events that promote health and well-being.

We are always happy to offer guidance and answer any questions you may have about our care facilities, so please feel free to call up or, better still, pop in and experience what our beautiful care home has to offer.

Types of care

It is important to us that our care services are delivered in a way that celebrates each person's individuality and helps them to maintain as much independence as possible, so we tailor our services to meet the unique needs of each person. We provide person-centered nursing and residential care services for older people in need of support. We firmly believe that emotional well-being is just as important as physical health needs and we will work with residents, families and friends to ensure we deliver high quality and lifelong care that is unique to each person. Most importantly, we recognise that Rhiwlas is the residents' home fire and foremost. Visitors, days out, activities and involvement in regular groups will always be supported and encouraged.

Charlotte Aspinall

Senior General Manager

My name is Charlotte Aspinall and I am the Senior General Manger here at Rhiwlas.

I have been a Registered Nurse (Adult) since 1996 and also have a degree from Edge Hill University in Health and Social Care, which predominantly focused on the care of older adults.

I joined Barchester in 2013 and have held roles as a Deputy Manager, General Manager and, more recently, as a Clinical Development Nurse within the Care & Quality team. Before Barchester, I’ve worked in the NHS and private sector, where I specialised in older adult nursing.

I am passionate about what I do and have very high standards. As a team, here at Rhiwlas Care Home, we will always endeavour to provide choice and person-centred care, in addition to delivering professional and excellent services to those we support.
