Our team

It is the amazing people who work at Rhiwlas who have made our home what it is today. Our people are our biggest asset; each staff member makes it their mission to provide the highest possible standard of care and to ensure that every resident is comfortable and happy. Whether that by our wonderful kitchen staff cooking up a residents favourite meal, or the activities team arranging for a well liked entertainer to visit the home - our team's primary concern is making sure each person we care for is completely satisfied with their stay at Rhiwlas.

Rhiwlas Care Home in Flintshire

Charlotte Aspinall

General Manager

My name is Charlotte Aspinall and I am the General Manger here at Rhiwlas.

I have been a Registered Nurse (Adult) since 1996 and also have a degree from Edge Hill University in Health and Social Care, which predominantly focused on the care of older adults.

I joined Barchester in 2013 and have held roles as a Deputy Manager, General Manager and, more recently, as a Clinical Development Nurse within the Care & Quality team. Before Barchester, I’ve worked in the NHS and private sector, where I specialised in older adult nursing.

I am passionate about what I do and have very high standards. As a team, here at Rhiwlas Care Home, we will always endeavour to provide choice and person-centred care, in addition to delivering professional and excellent services to those we support.

Our care

It is important to us that our care services are delivered in a way that celebrates each person's individuality and helps them to maintain as much independence as possible, so we tailor our services to meet the unique needs of each person. We provide person-centered nursing and residential care services for older people in need of support. We firmly believe that emotional well-being is just as important as physical health needs and we will work with residents, families and friends to ensure we deliver high quality and lifelong care that is unique to each person. Most importantly, we recognise that Rhiwlas is the residents' home fire and foremost. Visitors, days out, activities and involvement in regular groups will always be supported and encouraged.
