Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Prestbury Beaumont Care Community
Scrabble tournament
Games such as scrabble are a brilliant way to keep our minds active as well as having fun. Residents went head to head to play a scrabble tournament.
Cath Ritchie, General Manager said “Our residents have enjoyed their scrabble tournament today and have set us a challenge of them versus us! I think our clever residents could beat us based on the scores today!”
Wildlife camera
What lurks in the garden at night? Residents of Prestbury Beaumont are enjoying their wildlife camera and seeing which animals can be spotted visiting the homes extensive grounds under the cover of darkness. We are also looking at which creatures will appear as they start to venture out from their winter slumber.
Inside Cliveden
We were treated to an amazing live virtual talk and a tour of Cliveden, hosted by the house and chapel guides from the National Trust Talks Service.
The volunteers kindly gave us a tour around the famous house taking an in-depth look at Cliveden’s many stories from its 350 year history, from devilish dukes to scandalous headlines and boundary-breaking garden designs to political notoriety.
Starting with the Duke of Buckingham who built the first house in 1666, our residents met the key owners who helped shape the house and its gardens including the Orkney, Sutherland and Astor families.
The talk was accompanied by an illustrated presentation which brought to life these individuals and showed how their influence at Cliveden still continues today.
Paw-tastic time at Prestbury Beaumont
Animal-loving residents at Prestbury Beaumont have been enjoying pet therapy sessions regularly with Henrik and his owner. These sessions bring much joy and comfort to the homes residents and during the sessions, residents reminisce about their pets over the years, cuddle up with Henrik, and look at pictures of animals and nature, while sharing stories in small groups.
Pet therapy has amazing benefits for residents with and without dementia, from increased mood and social interaction to improved nutrition and physical activity. It’s also a fun activity for residents who can share their pet histories and find out interesting facts about different animals.
Debbie sings the high notes!
Residents at Prestbury Beaumont enjoyed an afternoon of singing with popular local vocalist, Debbie. Debbie performed a medley of show-stopping classics. Residents enjoyed singing along to their favourite songs and dancing the afternoon away. It was great to see everyone getting involved! A great time was had by all, Residents said that Debbie’s voice was beautiful and her performance was a delight to see.
Virtual coffee experience
We had a fabulous time joining NESCAFÉ’s virtual coffee experience.
We were able to look into how they sustainably farm their coffee beans, as well as, to have a virtual tour of one of their factories all from the comfort of our home.
To make things even more interesting, our residents had the chance to test their knowledge with an interactive quiz, and to the delight of all to taste the signature Sweet Cinnamon Shaken Iced Coffee cocktail.
