Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Prestbury Beaumont Care Community
Knitting for Savanah
Our Head chef’s daughter, Holly, gave birth to a beautiful little girl, called Savanah, and our lovely residents wanted to knit her some hats and blankets that she could wear. Savanah was born twelve weeks early, at 706 grams, and had a valve that wasn’t closed on her heart. We were all really worried about her as she had been in hospital for 112 days and had been in five different hospital wards. However, Savanah had a lot of love and support around her and this meant that our lovely residents, including Liz, Audrey and Wendy, worked really hard to make sure baby Savanah had warm and cosy blankets she could cuddle into. She is now back home with her mum and the residents got to meet and cuddle her for the first time during their knit and natter activity last week.
Tea Time!
Calling all tea lovers! We decided to put on a tea tasting afternoon in order to wake everybody’s taste buds up. Some residents had mentioned they use to love herbal and flavoured tea so we started brewing loose tea in order to try and get the resident’s brains ticking as to what they thought they were drinking. Everybody scored each tea out of ten and came to the conclusion that they all loved Egyptian mint tea, which was the winner and scored a 7.5 out of 10!
A trip down Moberly lane
This February our lovely Alan wanted to visit the beautiful town of Moberly, to reminisce and visit one of his favourite pubs, where he use to drink every week. Alan has very fond memories of living in Moberly and had wished to take a trip down memory lane by going for a drink in one of his locals. We all shared lots of laughter as Alan told us such wonderful memories about how he use to go out drinking in Moberly, while we tucked into some yummy fish and chips and Alan tried the pub ales they had on cask. We all loved receiving a tour from Alan as we drove to and from Moberly, learning about the town and where Alan grew up.
Resident celebrates landmark birthday!
Celebrations have been in full swing at Prestbury Beaumont as one of its residents reached her centenary in style. Margaret was joined by staff, relatives, friends and other residents as she celebrated this momentous occasion.
Cath Ritchie, General Manager said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating a truly remarkable woman as she reaches this amazing milestone. Margaret is such a popular resident who always has an interesting tale to tell, and we look forward to hearing many more as she breaks into her next century.”

Birthdays are a firm fixture on the homes life enrichment programme and Resident, Lilian recently celebrated her birthday and was presented with a delicious home-made birthday cake, especially prepared by the homes hospitality team.

Meet David the Owl
We are delighted to introduce you to David the Owl who stands proudly in our beautiful extensive grounds for all to see. David the Owl was very generously donated to the home by a relative. A massive thank you for all at Prestbury Beaumont.
