Activities at Orchard House Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Orchard House Care Home
Indoor Gardening
On Friday 23rd March, residents enjoyed an afternoon of indoor gardening. They put their gloves on ;to plant seeds they had picked themselves and then, with the support of staff, looked after their plants and watched them grow.

Preparing for Easter
On Tuesday 20th March, we enjoyed a fun afternoon making Easter bonnet hats for a competition that is coming up on 30th March.
Carisbrooke Castle Museum
On Tuesday 20th March, we had a lovely morning with staff from the Carisbrooke Castle Museum, who came to visit everyone at Orchard House to show off items from their museum. It got residents reminiscing about past experiences.
Champagne Enterprise
On Monday 19th March, we had Champagne Enterprise performing for all the Residents. Everyone had a fun afternoon with Zoe and Rob!
Flower Power
On the 16th March, we have a nice morning getting creative with a flower arranging session. We all help each other and shared ideas and stories with one another. Afterwards, we all enjoyed a cuppa and chat.
