Activities at Marnel Lodge Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

New Year's Day Vaccination

It has been a truly wonderful start to 2021. All our residents and some team members received the magic shot of safety. Dr Masterson and Dr Abbott, from Chineham Medical Practice, were true angels and turned our hope of a safe home into reality. The team at Marnel worked tirelessly to support the doctors. What a wonderful Day!

A Christmas Gift

Our talented Maintenance Manager, Keith, with support of Monicton, created this beautiful Christmas Gift to the community. children in our neighbourhood, who often visit and truly love it. Thank you Keith and the team for such wonderful present.

Christmas Baking

Our lovely friend from the local community has made this beautiful gingerbread Christmas cake with the support of residents. We all looking forward to eating it soon. Happy sweet Christmas!

Remembrance Sunday

Our residents, with the support of our team, decided to make a big poppy to honour all heroes who gave their lives to give us freedom. There is a big poppy displayed in front of our home as a symbol of appreciation for all war veterans.

Guy Fawkes Day

Our Residents and Team enjoyed spectacular fireworks organised by Marek and Maggie, our well-being team, in our own winter garden.

To celebrate such significant day in our history, we had an indoor BBQ and Prosecco. It was truly fantastic evening with lots of fun.
