Activities at Marnel Lodge Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Marek Manteufel & Theresa Connor
We both joined Marnel a while ago and we are very excited to be part of such a proactive and dedicated team. There are lots of ideas and innovations, all to enhance quality of life of our residents. Every day is different and to understand the needs of our residents, building relationship with them and keeping in touch with their families and friends, is the most important and rewarding job we could have wish for.

Life at Marnel Lodge Care Home
Memory Lane Picnic
Memory Lane went on a picnic and family members joined us for the day. We had a hamper of food prepared by our Chef, Scot and enjoyed a sing along and some party games. It was all good fun!
Heart & Soul Award - August
Tiffany Price is August's winner of our Heart & Soul Award. Tiffany was nominated for all her hard work on Memory Lane. She is always happy and residents love her sunshine breakfast that she makes out of toast and fried eggs.
Painting at Marnel Lodge
Peter and Gwen had a great time painting; they are the budding artists of Marnel Lodge.
Jim & Joan
Jim and Joan could not get over our big marrows we grew in our garden - their faces say it all!
Afternoon in the Garden
Residents and friends had a lovely afternoon in the garden in the sunshine. Amy made some cream tea for all of us to enjoy.
Heart & Soul Award - August
August's Heart & Soul award has been presented to Ann Hadley. Ann was nominated by colleagues and residents for working tirelessly to ensure that all residents are kept entertained daily; she is always open to new ideas and works so hard for everyone at Marnel Lodge.
