Leonard Lodge Care Home
Leonard Lodge Care Home in Brentwood
Our purpose-built nursing home is located on the Hutton Poplars, towards the outskirts of Brentwood. Shenfield High Street is within walking distance. It has a numbers of shops and eateries and also the mainline train station. We are lucky enough to be in a lovely quiet area backing onto woodlands. The site where our home is located was originally a Dr Barnardos children’s home, built in 1906. A small area of the children’s home has been preserved in its original form and can be seen as you drive onto the estate.
We have a long-standing and dedicated team who strive to provide the best quality care for residents, including respite care. Our registered nurses are at the home twenty four hours a day to ensure the development of a tailor-made care plan for every individual’s needs.
Our Memory Lane Community is dedicated to dementia care, enabling every resident to thrive in an environment designed to stimulate and enrich their lives whilst giving families peace of mind and security. Our person-centred team is experienced in responding to the challenges that dementia presents, at whichever stage of the journey. The Community is located on the ground floor and benefits from a beautiful and easily accessible courtyard garden.
We are always happy to meet with you and offer a guided tour of our facilities and grounds. Why not drop in for a cup of coffee and see for yourself?

Types of care
The care we provide is delivered in a way that promotes independence for those who live in our home. Where possible, it is important that residents are encouraged to perform daily tasks independently or with minor support. Our services are devised with individualised treatment in mind for each person, so getting to know everyone and understanding their needs is imperative to delivering bespoke, person-centred care.

Mihaela Munteanu
Hi, my name is Mihaela, and I am the General Manager of Leonard Lodge Care Home. Welcome to our website!
I have worked in the care sector since I trained as a Registered Nurse in 2003. I enjoy bringing all my knowledge, experience and passion to my role.
I love working for Barchester and leading the team at Leonard Lodge in the care and support of residents to provide a quality service that meets their individual needs.
I pride myself in making the right choices as a nurse and manager, always acting in the best interests of those I am caring for; helping staff to deliver positive outcomes for residents by ensuring they have the skills to work autonomously.
We always strive make life at our home as happy and as homely as possible.
Residents are at the centre of everything I do.
