Henford House Care Home in Warminster
Henford House provides 24-hour nursing and residential care for older people. We also offer respite care and short breaks so that, whether you care for a relative or are in need of care yourself, you can take a break from your usual routine. Residents and their loved ones tell us that Henford House really is a special place, with staff who put the needs of those they support before everything else.
Many of the staff here at Henford House have been with us for a long time, which helps to create a warm family feeling in the home. Our person-centred approach to care involves discussing and reviewing each individual’s needs with staff on a regular basis. The home also has a full-time activities team, who work to help residents live a full and active life. Not only are the staff one of the home’s biggest assets, but the period building, fabulous gardens and its rural location all add up to make Henford House a care home with a heart.
We know and understand that the decision to move into a care home, or having to find the right home for a friend or loved one is a hard and difficult one to make. We are here to help make this journey as simple and straightforward as possible. So, why not begin by picking up the phone to discuss how we can help you make the right decision?
We welcome visitors at any time – there’s no need to make an appointment. We look forward to welcoming you into our home and having a chat over a cup of coffee and a delicious piece of homemade cake.

Types of care
The care we provide is delivered in a way that promotes independence for those who live in our home. Where possible, it is important that residents are encouraged to perform daily tasks independently or with minor support. Our services are devised with individualised treatment in mind for each person, so getting to know everyone and understanding their needs is imperative to delivering bespoke, person-centred care.Read more

Hi, my name is Charles, and I am the General Manager here at Henford House. Welcome to our website!
I have been involved in the management of residential care & nursing services since 2000, having qualified as a nurse at Kingston and St Georges Hospital in 1997. During this time, I have developed my knowledge base of the implications relating to the management of nursing homes, which includes the management of a multi-disciplinary team, consisting of staff from OT, physiotherapy and nursing backgrounds.
While in a training management role, I managed to achieve a rating of '4' (Excellent) during CSCI inspection for training and development of staff, and I have also worked as an Operations Manager, supporting a small team of registered managers in Hampshire, all of which had achieved 'Good' CQC ratings during my time there.
Following this, I took on the management of a nursing home for people with complex health needs, such as epilepsy, enteral feeding, posture management and secretion management. This home achieved a 'Good' CQC rating in all areas while I was the registered manager, as well as excellent ratings from relatives on NHS Choices. I feel that the home’s success could be attributed to involving and including the team in the running of the home as much as possible, as well as listening to, and involving, service users, their relatives, and professionals involved.
In 2020, I worked as Clinical Nurse Manager for a newly commissioned 66-bed care home in Old Sarum. Being part of the ‘set up’ of a new service was a real privilege as it meant that I was able to ensure that the care team were all ‘on the same page’ when it came to delivering excellent standards of care, and how we were going to achieve this.
Now, I hope to use my skills in nursing and management to support the team at Henford House to deliver person-centred nursing and residential care to people living here.Get in touch Meet my team
