Activities at Harper Fields Care Home

There is always something to do here at Harper Fields and always someone to assist the residents in any activity they wish to take part in. We have entertainers come into the home to sing and play instruments on a weekly basis, as well as visits from PAT dogs, hairdressers, massage therapists and nail technicians to pamper those who live here. Residents' spiritual needs are taken into account at Harper Fields; we have regular services from the Catholic and Methodist church, in addition to the Church of England, and for our non-religious residents, we have a weekly calming and peaceful ‘mindfulness and meditation group,’ which is very popular, especially for those living with dementia. Residents often like to attend cinema evenings to watch their favourite films on the big screen (complete with sweets and popcorn), or develop new skills at our computer classes, where they can learn how to Skype their families in other countries. Our activities are tailored to suit the individual interests and capabilities of residents and our specialised equipment enables those we support to enjoy everything we have to offer.

Staff and residents at Harper Fields were absolutely delighted to receive this wonderful donation of treats from Arden Fine Foods in Coventry. Thank you so much!

National Pie Day

We had a great day celebrating National Pie Day here at Harper Fields. The residents had lots of fun trying to guess the pie filling, as we had a mixture of sweet, savoury and odd and quirky pies!

Christmas Service with St Peter's Church

Moira from St Peter's Church held our Christmas service.  We sang Christmas carols, bible readings,  prayers & holy communion. Having a spiritual dimension can support finding inner peace, peace of mind & heart.  At Harper fields we embrace everyone’s faith.
