Activities at Drummond Grange Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Life at Drummond Grange Care Home

,

Memory Lane Mother's Day

Residents on our Memory Lane unit celebrated Mother's Day with an afternoon of tea and cakes.

Paul Loves to Sing

Paul Loves to Sing

We recently acquired another karaoke machine for the residents upstairs. Lead Carer, Paul, loves to sing, so this is great news for him. His favourite song is Elvis' 'Fools Rush In'.

Paul has just recently transferred upstairs, so now he sings to the residents and loves to get them involved as well.

New Age Curling

One of the more physical activities that we enjoy at Drummond Grange is 'New Age Curling. We purchased this game as, each year, some of the residents take part in the Senior Games, which is held in July.

,

Tippin' Basketball

We recently purchased a tipping basket for our Memory Lane Community; the aim is for residents to throw the ball into the basket. The reason that it is called a 'tipping basket' is because it can be tilted to any angle.

Long Service Award

Long Service Award

We celebrated the 15th anniversary of Laarni Tolentino working at Drummond Grange. She works on the Young Disabled Unit of Buccleuch, but has also worked on the Care of the Elderly Unit as well. Residents enjoyed having a drink to celebrate her success.

What have we been up to?

We've been keeping busy lately!

Residents have been playing giant Jenga and having a lot of fun in the snow.
