Activities at Drummond Grange Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Life at Drummond Grange Care Home

Cool Creatures

Cool Creatures

Residents at Drummond Grange enjoyed a visit from Cool Creatures. We were greeted by a 10 month old skunk, a meerkat, a bearded dragon and a baby tortoise. All residents enjoy visits from animals, no matter how big or small they are.

All Ability Bikes

All Ability Bikes

We were joined by All Ability Bikes on 11th September, and they brought some specialised bicycles with them that had been modified for wheelchair users, allowing carers, family members and friends to take them for a ride.

Residents who tried out the bikes have all agreed that they'd like to go on outing in these bikes at least twice a month.

Open Day

Residents and guests had a lovely time at our open day. The weather was really nice and some residents chose to sit outside in the sunshine. We had a magician called Jamie join us, who entertained us with some tricks of magic and balloon modelling.

Residents, visitors and staff enjoyed a buffet whilst Jamie had a short break and then soldiered on. Jamie then took a trip through the home and spent some one-to-one time with residents who were unable to attend his performance. Just as we were finishing, we were joined by another magician (Craig) who happened to be in the area and he assisted with the card magic and balloon modelling.
